Its so like our society to celebrate the dark time of year the return of the light but when we are in the light , life is happy and no need for celebration and remembrance and ritual.BUT I am sooooo looking forward to the solstice, remembering that its in the light that we grow to and that the paradigm of only growing in the pain and darkness is no longer true, when you are alive and awake and aware you do not need the pain to wake you up and so i shall dance in the dark at yule and i shall dance in the light this summer solstice, loving all that I am.
